The Centre for Plant Medicine Research at Mampong Akwapim in the Eastern Region is testing the effectiveness of neem leaves and some herbs in treating COVID-19.
The Director of the Centre, Dr Kofi Bobi Barimah, who spoke with Radio Ghana’s Joyce Gyekye said, though neem leaves has since time immemorial addressed many health issues, the Centre cannot confirm at this moment that neem leaves can help in treating symptoms of COVID-19.
