NDC will wrestle Asante Akyem Central seat from NPP – Asiedu Nketia

The National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia, says the party is determined to win the Asante Akyem Central parliamentary seat from the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the 2028 general elections.

Speaking to Adom News during his thank-you tour of the constituency, Asiedu Nketia said the NDC came close to victory in the 2024 parliamentary elections, giving the party confidence that the seat is within reach.

He explained that the party is implementing strategic measures to attract more voters and strengthen its support base ahead of the next election.

According to him, with unity and sustained grassroots work, the NDC is well-positioned to take over the seat in 2028.

He also assured residents that work on the Konongo-Odumasi bypass will soon begin, indicating that contractors are expected to move to the site in the near future.
