The National Democratic Congress (NDC) will open nominations for its 2026 national executive elections on Tuesday, October 20, as the party begins preparations for its internal elections.
According to the timetable released by the party, the nomination process will commence at 7:00 a.m. on October 20 and close at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 21.
Interested aspirants are required to submit their applications online through the party’s dedicated platform, forms.ghanandc.com.
The exercise forms part of the NDC’s wider roadmap for its constituency, regional and national executive elections, which was approved by the party’s Functional Executive Committee (FEC).
The party indicated that successful applicants will have 14 days to complete their nomination forms and secure the required endorsements before proceeding to the next stage of the process.
Filing of nominations has been scheduled for Saturday, November 7, to Monday, November 9. During this period, completed nomination forms must be submitted online between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., while physical copies are also expected to be delivered to the NDC’s national headquarters within the same timeframe.
The vetting of candidates contesting national executive positions will take place from Thursday, November 12, to Friday, November 13, at the party’s headquarters.
The NDC said the timetable is designed to provide clear guidance for all stages of the internal elections and ensure an orderly, transparent and credible process.
The party has urged all aspirants, executives and members to comply with the timelines and procedures outlined to facilitate a successful election process.
