National Democratic Congress (NDC) has today, Friday, 31st January, 2020 commemorated one year of the Ayawaso West Wuogon by-election violence which saw some members of the NDC assaulted by operatives of the National Security.

The by-election which was supposed to be a simple democratic process to find a replacement for then Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon, Mr Emmanuel Kyeremanteng Agyarko, turned into a blood bath.

President Akufo-Addo following the by-election violence formed a Commission of Inquiry to investigate the matter and suggest recommendations on what needed to be done.

The President however, rejected the findings and suggestions made by the Commission to the displeasure of members of the NDC.
