The opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has cleared nine constituencies to hold its Parliamentary primary as it disqualifies six candidates from six constituencies.

The clearance follows the suspension the primary in 17 constituencies.

In a statement signed by Nii Okaija Adamafio, chairman of the party’s parliamentary primaries Appeal Committee, it said the decision was taken after an appeal sitting held from August 6 to August 12, 2019, by a six-member appeals committee.

The statement said, “the appeals committee received a total of 17 petitions, challenging the qualification or disqualification of parliamentary aspirants in various constituencies across the country arising out of the parliamentary aspirants.”
