The Vice President of the National House of Chiefs, Daasebre Kwebu Ewusi has cautioned chiefs not to attempt to settle any defilement cases in their palaces.
Daasebre Kwebu Ewusi VII said the numerous defilement cases that have happened cannot be allowed to continue.
According to Daasebre Kwebu Ewusi, the national house of chiefs has taken a strong stand against the practice and has vowed to give severe sanction to any chief who may attempt to settle defilement case in palace.
He made this known at the town hall meeting organized by the Mfantseman Information Service Department at Mankessim.
Daasebre Kwebu Ewusi VII, also used the occasion to speak against the practices where some parents asked their children who are not working to borrow them money.
This practice is also contributing to the high prevalence rate of teenage pregnancy in the region.
He is calling on parents to desist from the practice.
