Mrs. Adelaide Anno-Kumi, Chief Director of the Ministry of the Interior has been honoured by the Office of the Head of Civil Service (OHCS) for her outstanding performance as Chief Director for 2017.
She was honoured among other awardees at the 2018 Signing of Performance Agreements and Awards Ceremony for Chief Directors held in Accra on Friday, April 27, 2018.

Mrs. Anno-Kumi came fifth in order of ranking from amongst 30 Chief Directors of Ministries who were assessed based on a performance agreement signed with the OHCS on some specific deliverables in 2017.
The signing of Performance Agreements between the Chief Directors and the OHCS is part of efforts by the OHCS to reinforce performance management culture within the Civil Service whilst demanding productivity and efficiency in respect of sector targets and goals.
It is also to increase accountability in the delivery of public services; and stimulate healthy competition amongst the chief directors.

In her address, Ambassador Mercy Deborah Karikari, Secretary to Cabinet, urged civil servants to work hard for the benefit of the country and the service.
On his part, Nana Agyekum Dwamena, head of Service for the OHCS, entreated sector Ministers to support their Chief Directors in the discharge of their mandate to enhance service delivery.

The event which was chaired by Justice Rose Constance Owusu (Rtd), Chairperson for the Civil Service Council, had Chief Directors of all the Ministries present with some Ministers also in attendance.
Other recipients for the day were Ing. Godwin Brook, Chief Director of the Ministry of Roads and Highway, who was adjudged the best; Mr. Enoch Cobbinah, Ministry of Education, second; Mr. Solomon Asoella, Ministry of Works and Housing, third and Mr. Patrick Numo, Ministry of Finance, fourth.
