President Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo has put a freeze his ministers, their deputies, MMDCES and heads of government agencies from travelling abroad on official duties.

A statement signed by Chief of Staff, Akosua Frema Osei-Opare said foreign travels by minister and heads of agencies be temporarily suspended with immediate effect.

The statement added that guidelines in respect of future foreign travels aimed at minimizing disruption to government’s domestic work will be communicated shortly.

However, the Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration Minister, Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey was the only exempted from the temporal ban.
