The Matchday 33 fixtures of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League delivered dramatic outcomes across the country, with Medeama SC emerging as the champions of the campaign with a game to end the season, while other clubs secured crucial wins at both ends of the table, shaping the title race and relegation battle.
At the Nana Agyemang Badu II Stadium, Aduana FC secured an impressive 3-1 victory over Young Apostles. Patrick Mensah bagged a brace while Bright Adjei also got on the scoresheet to hand Aduana all three points. Issah Huseine pulled one back for Young Apostles.
Bechem United produced one of the biggest shocks of the round after defeating Asante Kotoko 3-1 at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park. The Hunters took firm control with first-half goals from Augustine Okrah and Richard Dwamena before Patrick Asiedu grabbed an 80th-minute consolation for Kotoko.
Dreams FC also enjoyed a commanding afternoon at the Tuba Astro Turf, defeating 10-man Bibiani Gold Stars 3-1. Seidu Suraj opened the scoring in the 18th minute to give the hosts a first-half advantage.
The Still Believe lads continued their dominance after the break as Jonathan Nemorden doubled the lead. Samuel Attah Kumi briefly reduced the deficit for the defending champions before Suraj completed his brace from the penalty spot to wrap up victory.
Already relegated Eleven Wonders suffered another setback, falling 2-0 at home to Berekum Chelsea at the Swedru Stadium. Goals from Abubakari Seidu and Marvin Owusu, one in each half, secured the win for Samuel Boadu’s side.
Karela United returned to winning ways with a narrow 1-0 victory over Swedru All Blacks at the Aliu Mahama Stadium. After a cagey first half, Zaidan Mohammed struck deep into stoppage time to secure a hard-fought win for the hosts.
Nations FC endured a damaging setback in their survival bid after losing 1-0 to Vision FC at the Dr Kwame Kyei Sports Complex. Faruk Mohammed’s 38th-minute effort proved decisive.
At the Nsenkyire Sports Arena, FC Samartex edged Hearts of Oak 1-0 in a tightly contested encounter. Gabriel Osei scored the decisive goal in the 54th minute after a goalless opening half.
The biggest result of the weekend came at the TNA Park, where Medeama SC thrashed Heart of Lions 5-2 to clinch the Ghana Premier League title. Kelvin Obeng gave the Yellow and Mauve side a dream start with a first-half brace, while Moses Ayidem pulled one back for the visitors before halftime.
Medeama remained dominant after the restart as Derrick Fordjour netted twice in the 72nd and 82nd minutes. Although Etse Dogli converted a late penalty for Heart of Lions, Prince Owusu added the fifth to complete a memorable title-winning performance.
Elsewhere, Basake Holy Stars were awarded three points and three goals after Hohoe United forfeited their fixture.
Following the Matchday 33 results, Medeama SC sit at the summit as champions, with Bibiani Gold Stars, Hearts of Oak and Aduana FC completing the top four. Nations FC, Hohoe United and Eleven Wonders remain in the relegation zone heading into the final round of the season.
