A 29-year-old Pumping Machine repairer, who defiled two sisters, aged four and eight, has been granted a GHC20,000.00 bail with three sureties by a Kumasi Circuit Court.

Kwame Tandoh pleaded guilty to the offence and would reappear before the Court presided over by Miss Comfort Tasiame, on November 27, 2019.

Prosecuting, Police Chief Inspector Mercy Quaye told the Court that, the complainant, Beatrice Konadu, a trader and a biological mother of the two victims, reside in the same house with the accused at Nweneso No.2 near Atwima Foase in the Ashanti Region.

She said in the month of September, at about 17:00 hours, the eight-year-old victim was watching television with her friends in the room of her uncle known as Peter suddenly entered and sacked her to go and take her bath.

The prosecution said accused later forced entry into the bathroom and had sexual intercourse with her there.

She said on November 1, 2019, the other victim (four years), was also watching television in the same room when the accused appeared again and invited her to sit near him on the bed, as she obliged, accused managed to insert his finger into her vagina.

The Prosecution said three days later, the second victim complained of pains in her private part when she was being bathed by the mother in the morning.

She said after questioning her what caused the pain, the victim mentioned the name of the accused to the mother and even went further and for the first time divulged what the accused did to her sister previously.

She said the complainant immediately made a complaint to the Foase Police, which led to the arrest of the accused.

The prosecution said Police medical report form was issued for the examination and treatment of the victims and this was returned endorsed by a medical officer at the Suntreso Government Hospital, confirming their defilement.

Madam Quaye said the accused confessed to the crime and was therefore charged and brought before the Court.
