The flagbearer hopeful made the comment on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen programme Friday after he wrote officially to the National Executive Committee about his intention to run for president on the NDC’s ticket.

The former Chief Executive Officer of the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) said the NDC is in the mood for change ahead of the 2020 general elections.

Commenting on the supposed endorsement of former President Mahama by some Minority Members of Parliament, Sylvester Mensah said it was obvious the NDC has not learnt its lessons.

He explained that such unnecessary endorsements by some constituency chairmen in 2016 led to their gargantuan defeat to the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Ghana is in a hurry and I’m ready to accelerate its development if I become president” Mr Mensah added.
