A presidential hopeful of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Alban Bagbin, has described ex-President John Dramani Mahama as an ‘indecisive’ person.
According to him, Mr. Mahama faltered in taking key decisions as leader of the country.
Mr Bagbin said, “Mr Mahama has several attributes as a person that I admire a lot but decision taking is sometimes his major challenge.”

Speaking on Kumasi-based Kessben FM on Tuesday, the ex-Majority Leader in Parliament said, “Mr Mahama has good control over the English language, which has earned him admiration across the globe.
“Mr Mahama has also acquired a lot of knowledge and experience due to his position as president. I traveled across the globe and met different kind of people from various backgrounds.
“But I realized that he (Mahama) sometimes faltered as a leader when taking key decisions as the leader to solve pressing national problems, and you know leadership is about decision making.”
Mr Bagbin, however, disagreed with those, who believe the NDC lost the 2016 presidential and parliamentary elections mainly because of the actions and inactions of Mr. Mahama.
The presidential aspirant attributed the defeat of the NDC to several factors, saying that the party was not united ahead of the elections, as Ghanaians were made to believe at the time.

Mr Bagbin said the previous Mahama administration was alienated from the party people, especially those at the grassroots.
“Did you see the party elders campaigning with him?”he quizzed.
He also claimed that the advisers virtually stopped him from correcting Mr Mahama to move back onto the right path.
According to him,“All my efforts failed so I was forced to come out sometimes to speak my mind.”
Mr. Bagbin also debunked assertions that he hates Mr. Mahama, describing those claims as false, noting that “I was the first person to predict that he (Mahama) will be president one day, so how can I hate him?”
