Mahama confirms three Deputy Comptrollers-General to strengthen Ghana Immigration Service

President John Dramani Mahama has approved the confirmation of three Deputy Comptrollers-General of the Ghana Immigration Service (GIS), elevating them from acting positions to their substantive ranks.

The appointments, made on the recommendation of the GIS Governing Council and with the advice of the Public Services Commission, are aimed at strengthening leadership within the Service and improving its operational effectiveness.

The newly confirmed officers are:

• Evelyn Lolonyo Lotsu – appointed to head the Finance and Administration Directorate.

• Faisal Disu – appointed to lead the Command Post and Operations Directorate.

• Philip Peter Andoh – appointed to oversee the Legal, Research and Monitoring Directorate.

According to the Ghana Immigration Service, the appointments recognise the officers’ leadership, dedication to duty, and contributions to the Service.

The Comptroller-General of Immigration, Samuel Basintale Amadu, congratulated the newly appointed deputies and commended their professionalism and commitment.

He expressed confidence that in their substantive roles, they would continue to strengthen the Service, promote good governance, and contribute to national security and development.

Mr Amadu also pledged the full support of the GIS management team as the officers assume their new responsibilities.
