President John Dramani Mahama has commended the people of Juapong in the North Tongu District of the Volta Region for maintaining a peaceful, clean and welcoming environment, describing the town as one of Ghana’s unique communities.
The President made the remarks during a visit to Juapong, where he cut the sod for the construction of a 24-Hour Economy Market, a flagship project expected to boost local commerce, create jobs and stimulate economic growth.
Addressing residents and traditional leaders, President Mahama praised the community for its commitment to peace, unity and environmental cleanliness, saying these qualities make Juapong an attractive destination for government investment and private sector participation.
He noted that the town’s conducive atmosphere provides a strong foundation for development projects aimed at improving livelihoods and expanding economic opportunities for residents.
President John Dramani Mahama has reaffirmed his government’s commitment to reviving the Juapong Textile Company Limited as part of efforts to revitalise Ghana’s manufacturing sector and create sustainable employment opportunities.
