The Public Utility and Regulatory Commission together with Power Distribution Service (PDS) under the Tema region after a successful meeting with the MP for Lower Manya Krobo, Ebenezer Terlabi and the Assembly members of the area have rolled out a roadmap to resolve the impasse over unpaid bills in the area.

In a stakeholders meeting on Friday, the Assembly members on behalf of the Krobo residents agreed to settle debts on merits of each consumer’s case by residents allowing PDS workers into their homes to read the meter to enable them generate actual bills.

After the meeting which had the Municipal Chief Executive of the area, Mr. Simon Kwaku Tetteh in attendance, PDS agreed to reconnect some five communities disconnected from the National Grid in the Lower Manya Krobo Municipality.

Meanwhile, the MP for the area, the Assembly members, chiefs and opinion leaders are expected to update the residents on the outcome of the meeting and also urge them to create a peaceful and enabling environment for the PDS staff to work.
