Ghanaian musician Lord Paper and his band are set to headline the 2026 Kente Wear Festival, which will return with an expanded programme featuring four shows celebrating Ghana’s rich textile heritage, fashion and culture.
Organised by Freeway LLC, the annual festival seeks to promote Ghana’s iconic Kente fabric while providing a platform for designers, models, entrepreneurs and lovers of African culture in the diaspora to showcase Ghanaian fashion and creativity.
The 2026 edition will be held across four venues, giving patrons multiple opportunities to experience a blend of fashion, music and culture.
The first show is scheduled for October 24, 2026, at Sterling Banquet Hall, followed by the second show on October 31 at Ehall South.
The third show will take place on November 14 at Big Field Pavilion, while the final show is scheduled for November 21 at African Palace.
A major attraction of this year’s festival will be the performance by Lord Paper and his band, who are expected to entertain patrons with some of the musician’s popular hits while adding a vibrant musical dimension to the celebration of Ghanaian heritage.
According to the organisers, the festival remains committed to promoting Made-in-Ghana apparel, fashion accessories and locally inspired designs, while strengthening the connection between Ghanaians in the diaspora and their cultural roots.
“We live in a globalised world, and it is important that we celebrate Ghanaian fashion and culture wherever we find ourselves. Through the Kente Wear Festival, we continue to preserve our traditions, tell our stories, and introduce the elegance of Ghanaian craftsmanship to a global audience,” the organisers said.
Beyond the fashion runway, the festival will feature cultural performances, exhibitions, networking opportunities and displays of traditional and contemporary Kente-inspired designs.
The organisers believe the four-show format will further expand the festival’s reach and provide greater opportunities for creatives and businesses to engage with audiences.
