A Deputy General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has descended heavily on is founding member, Dr. Nyaho Nyaho Tamakloe for claiming he does not recognize Freddie Blay as National Chairman.
Nana Obiri Boahen says the suspended member is “making ugly noises” just to seek attention.
Dr. Nyaho Tamakloe has incurred the wrath of the ruling party for criticizing their election of Freddie Blay as Chairman.

In Mr Tamakloe’s view, his election “legitimizes the coup d’etat that was staged against the Afoko’s administration”.
Dr. Nyaho Tamakloe has vowed not to recognize Freddie Blay who was a member of the Convention Peoples Party (CPP) as leader of the great elephant party.
But on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen programme Friday, Nana Obiri Boahen said the suspended founding member has no right to tell them who to elect as leader.

He explained that Dr. Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe is not a paid up member of the NPP thus has no say in the NPP’s affairs.
“Why is Nyaho Tamakloe worried about things happening in the party he betrayed. He is a traitor and will be seen as such”, he opined.
The deputy General Secretary said Dr. Tamakloe should rather be happy that the choice of Freddie Blay will divide the party because it will give his NDC an opportunity to win the 2020 elections.

“Characters like Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe, he has no sense of shame; If he had, he won’t be talking about the NPP. He campaigned with former president Mahama so he should be happy the NPP will be in disarray in 2020”, he added.
Nana Obiri Boahen called on party members to treat comments by Nyaho Tamakloe with the contempt it deserves.
