Felix Kwakye Ofosu

Anybody who can prove that former President John Mahama or any member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) said the party constructed all roads in Ghana must produce the evidence or forever hold their peace.

This is a challenge thrown to the public by former Deputy Communications Minister, Felix Kwakye Ofosu.

He maintained that blaming the erstwhile Mahama administration for the bad roads in the country is a clear example of government shirking its responsibility.

The ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) is asking the NDC to show where it constructed the roads it touted as achievements in the 2016 elections.

The erstwhile Mahama administration listed a lot of roads across the country in its green book proving to be a government that embarked on massive infrastructure development.

However, when the Akufo-Addo government took over almost every community is crying about the bad nature of their roads and are threatening to boycott the upcoming elections in 2020.

This is very strange after former President Mahama is reported to have said they constructed all roads in the country.

This assertion attributed to the former President, Mr Ofosu maintained amounts to vile propaganda.

“We never said we have done all roads in Ghana; everything we claimed, we did. No NDC member or former President Mahama said we have done all roads in Ghana,” he said on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen programme, Wednesday.

He said the roads they constructed including the Kwame Nkrumah Circle interchange are very visible for everyone to see.

“The NPP wants to blame the NDC for the bad roads just to escape blame,” he stressed.
