This poem by Timothy Odoom (Timmy)  is dedicated to the memory of the departed global icon, Kofi Annan, a former General Secretary of the UN.

Kofi Annan died in Switzerland on August 18, 2018. Since then tributes have poured in from all around the globe.

Ghana is currently in the second day of a three-day national mourning.

In the spoken word, published below, Timmy weaves words in Akan and English to capture the sombre feeling that has engulfed all of Ghana and the world since Kofi Annan’s death.

The spoken word also reflects on death and its penchant to take away what we most cherish.

Above is the poem composed in memory of the illustrious diplomat and published Timmy‘s Youtube channel.
