Ghanaian popular comic actor and musician, Lil Win born as Kwadwo Nkansah has condemned the increasing rate at which parents allow school-going children to work for money.
He bemoaned how children are made to do menial jobs at the expense of their education.
Speaking at his program dubbed: “Our Day With Lil Win’ the Kumawood actor underscored the need for child labour to be eradicated out of the system.
Children have to go to school. It’s a right. Child labor should stop. The child you are preventing from going to school will be the one the help to help you in the future…” he said.
The comic actor called on parents to instill discipline and good virtues in their children and also monitor and supervise their studies.
“Parents should focus on their kids. Even if they are disappointing bring them closer…” he advised.
