Grammy and Oscar-winning singer and actress Lady Gaga has welcomed her first child with her fiancé, entrepreneur Michael Polansky.
The arrival of the baby was confirmed by sources to People and Page Six, although details about the child, including the name, sex and date of birth, have not yet been disclosed.
The couple were recently spotted together with their newborn in Northern California, marking their first public appearance as a family of three since news of the baby’s arrival emerged.
Gaga and Polansky became engaged in April 2024 after dating for several years. The singer later shared details of the proposal during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! in October 2024.
According to Gaga, Polansky proposed after the pair had gone rock climbing. She said the entrepreneur’s approach was very much in keeping with his personality, as he first asked her if he could ask her a question before popping the big question.
The couple have also worked together professionally. Polansky received writing credits on Gaga’s 2025 Grammy-winning album, Mayhem, and on her song “Glamorous Life”, which featured on The Devil Wears Prada 2 soundtrack.
Gaga has previously spoken openly about her desire to become a mother. During a 2025 appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, she said motherhood was a role she hoped to take on next.
The singer had also spoken about having children as part of her future plans in a 2019 YouTube interview.
The birth of the couple’s first child marks a new chapter in Gaga’s personal life as she continues her career in music, film and entertainment.
