A Laboratory technician at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital has been shot by an unknown person.
The Laboratory technician, whose name is not immediately known was said to have been shot from outside on Monday morning while at the laboratory with a colleague.
Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the nation’s premier hospital, confirmed the incident on Adom News on Monday evening.
“One of our staff members was shot this morning…he was in the office with another staff and he was shot,” Mustapha Salifu said.
The technician, he added, is receiving medical treatment at the facility.
He further called on staff of the hospital to remain calm as the hospital’s authorities have informed the police about the incident and investigations are underway.
