Some of the family members of Comfort Owusu Afriyie, the restaurant operator who was shot dead on New Year’s Day at Cedar Crescent Hotel at Danyame by her lover, Edwin Awuku, tried to attack the accused persons.
The angry family members, who were fully parked at the court on Friday, hurled insults at them when they were being whisked away from the court premises to the prison custody.

The family members, who looked furious, started yelling and hitting the police van, when the suspects were in.
It took the swift intervention of the police to whisk the accused persons away to avoid an attack from relatives of the deceased.
Belinda Awuku and her husband, Edwin Awuku were remanded into prison custody to reappear on February 7, 2020.
