Some leading members of the NDC at the demonstration

Deputy General Secretary of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Peter Boamah Otukonor says the Coalition for Social Justice led ‘Kum Yen Preko’ demonstration was a wake-up call to President Nana Akufo-Addo to up his game.

According to him, the NDC’s decision to partake in the ‘Kum Yen Preko’ demonstration was based on the fact that the basis for the demonstration matched with the party’s position on the Akufo-Addo-led administration.

Speaking in an interview with journalists during the protest, he said “this is a wake-up call to President Akufo-Addo and we are making history today with the numbers that have participated in this demonstration.”

He said “this demonstration is in the interest of journalists, drivers, traders and all Ghanaians.”
