Philanthropist and entrepreneur, Daniel Nyame, popularly known as DANNYAME, has sponsored the registration and renewal of National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) memberships for more than 2,000 widows and vulnerable women as part of a special Mother’s Day initiative aimed at improving access to healthcare and promoting social inclusion.

In addition to the NHIS support, DANNYAME donated food items, clothing and other essential supplies to the beneficiaries to help ease their burdens and put smiles on their faces during the Mother’s Day celebration.

According to him, the intervention forms part of his continuous commitment to supporting disadvantaged women across various communities.

He explained that many widows and vulnerable women struggle to afford quality healthcare and other basic necessities, making the initiative necessary to restore hope, dignity and a sense of belonging in their lives.

Speaking on his behalf, his Personal Assistant, Felix Kwasi Odei, noted that the gesture has brought relief and renewed hope to many beneficiaries, especially those who are unable to pay for healthcare services on their own.

Meanwhile, the Denkyembour District Director of the National Health Insurance Scheme, Remond Yaw Dzansi, described the partnership with Daniel Nyame as timely and life-changing.

He commended DANNYAME for remembering widows and vulnerable women during the Mother’s Day celebration, stating that the initiative would positively impact many lives through improved access to healthcare and social support.

Mr. Dzansi further encouraged Ghanaians to register for or renew their NHIS memberships to ensure continuous access to healthcare services.

He also urged the public to take advantage of free primary healthcare initiatives, which often include free registration exercises for vulnerable groups such as the elderly, children, and pregnant women.
