Businessman and former UT Bank Chief Executive Officer, Prince Kofi Amoabeng, has paid a visit to President John Dramani Mahama at his private residence to discuss what he described as matters of national interest.
In a post on Facebook, Mr Amoabeng said the meeting aimed at engaging with the President on issues concerning the country.
“I made a quick stop at His Excellency John Mahama’s private residence to discuss a few matters of national interest,” he wrote.
He said his impression of the President so far was positive and expressed his willingness to support the administration as it works towards its development agenda.
“So far, I believe he is doing well, and we are glad to support him in every way we can as he works towards building a better Ghana,” he added.
Mr Amoabeng also stressed the importance of leadership and a collective commitment to national development, arguing that progress begins with the mindset with which citizens and leaders approach the task of building the country.
The meeting comes against the backdrop of Mr Amoabeng’s previous public comments on President Mahama’s leadership. In January 2026, he described the President as humane, humble and respectful, while cautioning that his easygoing nature should be balanced with firm accountability and sanctions where necessary.
Mr Amoabeng has also previously expressed strong support for Mr Mahama, including publicly endorsing his return to the presidency ahead of the 2024 elections. He said at the time that his decision was influenced by his assessment of the previous government and his belief that Mr Mahama’s experience could benefit the country.
