Minister for Communications and Member of Parliament (MP) for Ablekuma West, Ursula Owusu-Ekuful couldn’t find the right words to express her sadness towards the demise of Asempa FM’s presenter Kwadwo Asare Baffour Acheampong popularly known as KABA.
Speaking at a memorial service held for KABA at the forecourt of the Radio Building, which houses Joy FM, Adom FM, Asempa FM and Hitz FM, Mrs Ursula Owusu disclosed that she has no words to explain the pain and shock residing in her heart.
Recalling sharing the same birthday with KABA, the Minister of Communications stressed that the host of ‘Ekosii Sen’s show was a professional journalist to the highest order.
“I had a one-on-one show with him. I still can’t believe it. I share the same birthday with him. He is my brother. We have had countless interviews. It’s painful. He asked good questions. If both NPP and NDC claim he is bias then is been objective in the journalism world…” she cried.
“It is shocking beyond words. We don’t need to beef with each other. We should focus on the essentials and put grudges behind us. We take so many things for granted. Things like this make us know we are nothing. This little time God has spared us should be utilized to make peace with each other…”
She continued that, “Who would have thought KABA would die on Saturday. His death should make it count. It’s a real shock…” she maintained.
