Justin Kodua dismisses claims of power struggle with NPP Chairman

-

General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Justin Frimpong Kodua, has dismissed rumours suggesting he has taken over the responsibilities of the party’s National Chairman, Stephen Ntim.

Speaking in an interview with Channel One TV on Wednesday, June 18, Mr. Kodua clarified that Mr. Ntim remains the duly elected Chairman and continues to perform his official duties.

“I have not taken his job. Stephen Ntim is our National Chairman, and he continues to lead in that capacity,” he said.

His comments follow speculation from some political observers and party supporters that he may be exerting influence beyond his official role, potentially overshadowing the Chairman.

Mr. Kodua, however, firmly rejected such claims, stressing that the party’s leadership structure remains intact and there is no internal power struggle.

“There is no confusion. We are all working together for the good of the party,” he assured, reiterating his commitment to unity and teamwork within the NPP.

He further emphasised that he and Mr. Ntim are working closely to advance the party’s agenda ahead of the 2024 general elections.
