The management of EMEFS Construction Limited, owners of the estate in which Mrs Josephine Asante, Marketing and Public Affairs Manager of the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority (GPHA) in charge of the Tema Port, was stabbed to death, says it is untrue that her assassin(s) trailed her to the estate.

According to managers of the Community 25 estate in Tema, “All Emefs Estates, namely: Lagoon View, Hill View, Palace and Gardens are walled and well protected by very watchful and resilient security personnel and there was no way an assassin or group of assassins could have followed the victim into the estate without being noticed and accosted.”

In a statement issued by EMEFS Construction Tuesday, January 15, 2019, the company urged all residents, business partners and other stakeholders to remain calm and go about their normal activities as investigations of the heinous crime continue.

Below is the statement

We regret the ill-fated incident that occurred on Sunday, the 13th of January 2019 at our Mataheko (Hillview-Palace) Estate in which one of our residents, Mrs. Josephine Asante, the wife of a homeowner was gruesomely murdered in her bedroom.

Our deepest sympathy goes to the entire Asante and allied families during this very difficult time of their lives.

Contrary to speculations that an assassin or group of assassins might have followed the deceased home through the gates to commit the dastardly act, we wish to state clearly that it was not so.
