Fast rising gospel musician, Rose Adjei has described as hypocrites people criticizing her for wearing trousers in her music video.
According to her, the Bible emphasizes modesty, and for women and trousers are often more modest than a short skirt.
Her comment comes after she came under a barrage of attacks after she released a video for her new single dubbed: ‘Life Him High’ which features Voltage.
In her the video, the musician is seen dressed in military regalia which many believe violates the Christian principles.
Her dances were also wearing low cut tank tops exposing their breasts – which in the opinion of many is ungodly.
They quoted Deuteronomy 22:5 says: “A woman shall not wear anything that pertains to a man, nor shall a man put on a woman’s garment, for all who do so are an abomination to the Lord your God” to buttress their point.
But reacting to the issue on Adom FM’s entertainment review show, Entertainment Hall hosted by Mike 2 expressed shock at the development.
She indicated that, there is nothing wrong with her choice of costume which makes her feel very comfortable.
“I like dancing so I wanted something that can help me move freely and exhibit my dance moves. There is nothing ungodly about it” she stressed.
Rose Adjei said she is ready to change of phase of gospel music in the country in spite of the stiff opposition.
