A 13-year-old girl suffering from Tuberculosis has been forced to quit school due to harassment and bullying from her schoolmates.
Gifty Amuzu said the decision to drop out at primary three was because the teasing became more than she could bear.
Narrating her ordeal to Adom News’ Emmanuella Ablah Aforkpah, she said her predicament begun when she fell sick in 2014.
She was later diagnosed with Tuberculosis of the Thoracic Spine Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital and had to undergo surgery but lack of money has delayed her recovery for the past three years.
Young Gifty who want to become a soldier in future is confident of recovery to enable her continue her education.

Her distraught mother, Monica Okulu said Gifty condition has drained the family’s finances.
She said she can hardly take care of her other three children because of the condition of her sick child.
Madam Monica revealed that, her daughter’s condition led to the collapse of her lucrative chop bar business due to the stigma they suffered.
The only alternative she has now is to wash and do domestic chores for people in her area to feed her children.
Madam Monica is appealing for help to save her daughter from paralyzing for life.
