Ghanaian actor, Prince David Osei says he is sad about certain happenings at the Golden Movie Awards that took place over the weekend at Movenpick Ambassador Hotel in Accra.

Speaking on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM, Monday, the actor told host of the show, KMJ, that he couldn’t comprehend why Kumawood actress, Rosemond Brown, will be given the platform to present an award at such a respected ceremony.

According to him, the show showcases Ghana’s culture across the continent hence he couldn’t believe his eyes when he saw terrible English-speaking Rosemond Brown on the podium while “better” celebrities were around to do the honour.

“You bring people who are not articulate to present awards. Her English speaking is out of place. There are a lot of people who could have presented the award. She took an hour to breath. Why is it that when people play the tomfoolery we celebrate? Stupidity is the hallmark. People are doing so well and they are not recognised but if you give the platform to fools…” he fumed.

Shortly after making the comments, however, Prince apologised, saying he was only being sentimental with the matter.

I am sorry about what I said; I am just being sentimental…” he said.
