Some members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) thronged the party headquarters to express their displeasure about leadership’s decision to pull out of the Ayawaso West Wougon by-elections.
The NDC’s press conference to address a shooting incident at a polling station in Baweleshie was halted when the angry party members stormed the venue.

Some National Security Operatives are alleged to have fired gunshots at a polling centre a La Bawaleshie, injuring about six persons believed to be NDC supporters.
Following this, National Chairman of the NDC, Samuel Ofosu Ampofo announced that the party’s candidate is withdrawing from the elections for security reasons.
This decision was not received well by party members who believe it is their time ti win the Ayawaso West Wougon seat.
