Public Relations Officer for Accra Hearts of Oak, Kwame Opare Addo, has confirmed the suspension of head coach, Frank Elliot Nuttall on the basis of unprofessional and unethical behaviors contrary to the club’s code of conduct.
This decision comes after coach Nuttall accepted the charges during an emergency board meeting held on Monday 12th, February, 2018.
In an exclusive interview on Asempa FM’s Ultimate Sports Show, Mr. Opare stated that, “At the moment, coach Frank Nuttal has been suspended and not sacked”.
“This suspension is as a result of unprofessional and highly unethical behaviors displayed by the coach in the past”.
“The issue here is that the coach has displayed some behaviors which are unethical and unsporting””.
Anybody whose behavior causes the club money and players, have not acted well”.
Assistant Coach Henry Lamptey Wellington, will take charge of the team’s training sessions until further notice.
Meanwhile, a three-man committee set up by the board has been mandated to probe further into the issue and report the findings by Friday, February 16, 2018.
Frank Nuttal had a scintillating debut season in the dugout for the Phobians as he guided them to a 3rd place finish in the league as well as finishing as runners up in the MTN FA Cup.
