Black Starlets Captain, Eric  Eyiah has expressed disappointment after their 2-1 defeat to Mali in the ongoing FIFA U-17 World Cup  in India.
Mali scored twice through Hadji Drame in the 15th minute and Djemoussa Traore just after the hour mark before Kudus Mohammed reduced the deficit for Ghana.
According to the Captain, the team gave their best but it wasn’t enough to win the game on the day.
“We did our best, we tried as much as we could to win against Mali but we were defeated, such is football ,one day you are up and the next you are down”, he told Asempa Sports.
“It hurts because we wanted to fight until the end of the tournament and even do more to  surpass what our seniors did but unfortunately it didn’t happen for us. We were hoping to make history, but it did not happen”
However, we appreciate all the support  and love we got, God knows best ,I believe we will go back home regroup and  come back stronger”.
