Journalism is when the story is told but the fulfilment of in telling the story is when it provides the expected impact or result.

This is exactly the case for Adomonline.com’s story that shed the light on the disturbing story of students of Tapa Amanya Roman Catholic School sitting on stones to learn.

Months after that publication, what was gradually becoming a routine for the many innocent children, translated into tears of joy for parents, teachers and children of the school.

This was when the Tapa Amanya Charity Organization (TACO) and K. Monsi Ventures announced the commencement of a 3-unit classroom block for the school after seeing the publication of photos of the disturbing spectacle on adomonline under the headline, “Pupils of Tapa Amanya RC sit on stones to learn”.

Crowded in a small bamboo-made structure, pupils of the school located within the Biakoye district of the just-created Oti region, sit on stones with others on the bare floor, to read and write.

With this plight, the commencement of a 3-unit block has been commenced to ease the perpetual plight of these kids purported to be the “future leaders of the country.”READ ALSO: Photos: Lil Win dazzles fans at Nsoromma grand finale

pAside the 3-unit school block, the school has so far received 15 set of computers, streetlights, exercise books, boxes of chalk, among other things that will aid teaching and learning.

At a recent gathering at Tapa Amanya, the Paramount chief of the area, Nana Okorobuor Baffour Kwame Asante II who is the Tapahene, thanked TACO and K. Monsi Ventures for the gesture which he described as “God-sent”.

He urged those urged other indigenes of the area to partner institutions such as TACO who are determined to assist in developing the community.

“We thank the TACO for their work. People who want to join the association have the chance. It is bringing development to the region,” he said.

“It’s a great initiative and we thank TACO as we urge many more people to cultivate the spirit of helping to develop the community. That way, we will be helping the future of the village and those having family here,” he mentioned.

Bismark Ofori, the organiser and director of operations of TACO, thanked his colleague members for contributing towards the project.

He described the gesture as one that would help pupils in the region to develop their talents and improve on their grades when they sit for their final examinations.

“We are glad that work has commenced and we hope that in due time, the library will be completed. We hope that the computers will help the pupils catch up with their colleagues elsewhere in the study of IT,” he said.
