Transformation Power Chapel, New Achimota, represented AfiaSefa Boateng and Jacqueline Adofo emerged winners of the second week of AdomBible Quiz with 54 points.

The first runner up was the Lord’s Parliament Chapel with 42.

Meanwhile, Voice of Christ and Liberty Baptist Church came third and fourth with 27 and 26 points respectively.

This was after three rounds of questioning comprising of general bible knowledge, specific books of study, which was the books of Acts,chapters one to three, and a sword drill, which require speed and accuratereading.

This means Transformation Power Chapel and The Lord’s Parliament Chapel have moved on to the next round.

The two have joined kids from the Salvation Army Church, Danquah Circle and Presbyterian Church, Teshie-Manhia who qualified from the first week.

The two young ladies from Transformation Power Chapel, Afia Boateng and Jacqueline Adofo told Adom News they had to burn the midnight oilby sleeping late and waking up around 3 am every day for weeks just to prepare for the bible quiz.

Both girls are children of pastors, and they said their parents are always on their backs to study the bible and to master even how to easily locate any book in the bible by opening just once.

The girls showed their prowess in rounds two and three, particularly in round three when they beat the other contestants to the speed game in the sword drill.

 According to Jacqueline, “our pastor’s wife taught us that you don’t open the bible like any other book – you measure the pages and open to ensure that you get straight to the book you want.”

Just like week one, week two also closed with a mixed feeling of laughter and tears, as some kids from the losing churches, could not contain disappointing in not qualifying to the next round.

Meanwhile, the second-week competition showed an upsurge in the marks the kids are scoring; the two winners from week one scored 38 and 36respectively, but the two winners from week two scored 54 and 42.

Clearly, the competition is getting tougher and audience can only expect more interesting moments as ICGC Liberty Temple, Atomic Hills Estate;Prevailers Assemblies of God Church, Israel-Achimota; Church of Pentecost, Egyir  Painstil Memorial Worship Centre, Madina Estates and All Nations AltarChurch take their turn in week three, slated from December 16, 2018.
