An eleven-year-old girl has hanged herself with a mobile phone charger after a fight with her sibling over socks.
According to reports, the class six pupil whose name was given as Angela Owusuaa was found hanging was found hanging in the room unconscious after fighting with her older brother.
This unfortunate incident occurred at Kasoa Old timers in the Awutu Senya East Municipality of Central region Thursday.
Father of the deceased, Adams Mumuni who confirmed this to Adom News expressed shock at the conduct of his daughter.
He indicated that, they were getting ready for school when Angela claimed her brother had taken her socks but the issue was resolved and she went into the room to prepare.
But after several minutes she was not coming out so when her mother tried the door it was locked. She bulged in and there she was with a rope hanging around her neck.
“We cut the rope but it was too late when we got to the hospital” he added.
Adams Mumuni said she was rushed to the Kasoa Polyclinic where she was pronounced dead.
“She used a mobile phone charger and the curtain wire to take her life over mere socks…” he said sadly.
