The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has confirmed its support for Saudi Arabia’s bid to host the 2034 FIFA World Cup.
The Gulf country is among the countries hoping to host the world.
The Ghana FA in a statement released on Monday expressed its solidarity with the Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF) in their endeavour to bring the World Cup to their nation.

The relationship between the GFA and SAFF has been further solidified, marked by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in December of the previous year, underlining the collaboration and cooperation between the two football governing bodies.
Saudi Arabia recently took a significant step in their bid to host the 2034 World Cup by submitting a formal letter of intent to FIFA.
Since declaring its intention to host the tournament, the SAFF has received substantial support from the international football community, with “over 70 FIFA Member Associations from across different continents” publicly endorsing the Kingdom’s bid.
This announcement comes in the wake of FIFA’s recent decision to award the hosting rights of the 2030 World Cup to Morocco, Spain, and Portugal, with the opening matches set to be hosted by Uruguay, Argentina, and Paraguay to celebrate the tournament’s centenary.
