The Minority in Parliament has been taken to the cleaners for brandishing a placard on a floor of the House impugning the integrity of newly elected Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wougon, Lydia Seyram Alhassan.
Member of Parliament for Tano South constituency, Freda Prempeh described their action as distasteful and an affront to the dignity of women in the country.

National Democratic Congress (NDC) MPs have been lampooned for staging a walkout during the swearing in of Madam Alhassan.
Their action according to Minority Chief Whip, Muntaka Mubarak Mohammed was to solidarise with the victims of the violence that occurred at the La Bawaleshie polling centre during the election that gave Lydia Alhassan a seat in the House.
But on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen programme Tuesday, Freda Prempeh expressed her displeasure about the conduct of her colleagues in the Minority.

“The conduct of the Minority is disrespectful to all women, their capabilities and intelligence”, she fumed.
The Tano South MP could not fathom why they will call Lydia Alhassan as a “bloody widow” when in fact she won an election.
Freda Prempeh called on the Minority to as a matter of urgency render an unqualified apology to all women and widows for bring the name of Parliament into disrepute.
