Ex-Secretary to former Inspector-General of Police, David Asante-Apeatu, Superintendent Peter Lanchene Tuubo, has floored incumbent Member of Parliament (MP) for Wa West, Joseph Yieleh Chireh, in the National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary primary.

Supt. Tuubo, who resigned from the police service to contest the race, polled 755 votes as against 317 gathered by Mr Chireh to represent the NDC in the 2020 parliamentary race for Wa West.

The MP for Ketu North, James Kluste Avedzi retained his position. He polled 861 of the total votes cast.

Mr Avedzi’s closest contender, Gabriel Komiga polled 97 votes.
