A fire outbreak has destroyed a chamber and hall apartment at Accra New Town on Monday, September 14, 2026, destroying properties worth thousands of cedis.
No casualties were recorded in the incident.
The fire, which started at about 8:00 a.m., reportedly began in bits before gradually escalating and engulfing the apartment.

The landlord of the ten-room house, Abdul Wahab, said he had no idea what caused the fire but commended personnel of the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) for their swift response.
According to him, the fire has caused cracks in the building, raising concerns about its structural integrity.
He said the building could be demolished to make way for the construction of a new structure.
Mr Wahab added that tenants affected by the fire would be relocated to another room currently occupied by the victim’s family.
He noted that the affected tenant had lost several valuable belongings in the fire.

Personnel from the Ghana National Fire Service, the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO), and the Ayawaso Municipal Assembly were present at the scene to assess the situation and assist with the response.
