The timely intervention of personnel from the Anyaa Fire Station of the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) prevented the fire from spreading to nearby apartments, although one house was completely destroyed.
According to the GNFS, the Fire Master Control received the distress call at 6:13 p.m., and a firefighting crew led by ADOII Tetteh David Quansah was dispatched just a minute later.

The firefighters arrived at the scene at 6:33 p.m., brought the blaze under control by 7:05 p.m., and fully extinguished it at 8:00 p.m.
The fire completely destroyed a one-bedroom chamber-and-hall apartment and partially damaged a two-bedroom chamber-and-hall apartment.
However, the crew’s swift response prevented the flames from spreading to five other chamber-and-hall apartments.

No injuries or fatalities were reported.
