The family of 20-year-old second-year University of Cape Coast (UCC) student, Enoch Eshun, has spoken for the first time about the circumstances leading to his sudden death.

According to earlier reports, Enoch reportedly sustained injuries after falling while attempting to board a campus shuttle.

He is said to have received medical attention and continued treatment as he managed complications linked to the incident.

His mother, however, noted that he has completely healed from complications of the fall, before he fell ill abruptly.

She recounted that on Friday, June 25, 2026, he complained of feeling unwell, describing symptoms including dizziness, stomach pains and what he referred to as “seeing stars.”

She said he was given medication and asked to rest, but his condition did not improve.

She added that as his symptoms persisted, the family rushed him to the hospital in search of urgent medical care. However, despite efforts by medical personnel, he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.

The tragedy, she said, has left the family in deep shock, with plans underway for burial rites in the coming weeks.
