Mr AWUAH’s imminent arrest is part of an inquiry by EOCO into a complaint of…
EOCO told the court it had exhausted all reasonable steps to secure the MP’s voluntary appearance, paving the way for the arrest warrant.
The latest move follows an attempt by EOCO officers to arrest Mr Baffour Awuah at the Accra High Court on September 23. That effort led to a confrontation at the court premises and sparked public debate over the agency’s approach.
EOCO later clarified that the attempted arrest formed part of its ongoing inquiry and came after two earlier invitations issued to the MP in February 2026.
With the court-backed warrant now in place, EOCO is expected to intensify efforts to bring the legislator in for questioning.
