Corruption Watch has uncovered how a former administration of the Ghana Library Authority (GLA) exchanged its GH¢13.9 million worth land at Roman Ridge for a GH¢ 6 million private land at Oyarifa, both in the Greater Accra Region.
According to the lead investigator, Francisca Enchill, the Board Chair of the GLA explained after the deal that lack of funds to expand the State property was one of the reasons why the GLA gave the land out for the Oyarifa land.

Giving the details of the investigative piece on Corruption Watch, a segment on Adom FM’s Dwaso Nsem, Francisca explained efforts to contact the said firm, Byes and Ways have proved futile as the company has refused to respond to queries from Corruption Watch.
The completed project at Oyarifa has been abandoned by GLA over what the new Director, Hayford Siaw says is the lack of transparency in the project.

According to Mr Siaw, there was no valuation report or value for money on the project, hence his decision to leave the project.
