A six-year-old child has died after his brother shot him in his head at Somanya in the Eastern Region on Thursday.
The deceased, Alex Ologo Amanor, and his brother were said to be playing in their grandfather’s room whiles their parents were away.

The suspect, Jerry Akuffo, 4, reportedly took his grandfather’s single barrel gun he had allegedly hidden in his room and shot him.
The tragic incident occurred at 2:30pm this afternoon
Tenants who were present said they heard the sound of a gunshot and rushed out only to find the deceased in a pool of blood.

Revelations in the room showed that the gun was shot at about 3 meters range.
Adom News’ Kofi Siaw reports that the deceased was shot in his head bringing his skull content out.
The minor and his grandfather are currently assisting police to look into the case.
The body of the deceased has been taken to Atua Hospital.
