Players and officials of the Black Princesses team were given a rousing welcome upon their arrival in Papua New Guinea ahead of the FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup.

The team arrived in the country on Thursday after a two-weeks training tour in Australia.

The Black Princesses are hoping to make a mark in this year’s FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup having failed to qualify out of the Group in the last three editions.

The team narrowly missed out on a quarterfinal berth in the last edition held in Canada despite securing an impressive 6 points in the Group.

Ghana have been drawn in Group D together with France, USA and New Zealand.
