Sunburnt Tattoos
We were surprised as well, when we got to know about this one. So how do people do this? Well, all you have to do is place a stencil of the desired design on your skin and then head out to sunbathe without any protection. Wait for the stencil to get exposed and burn under the sun, then remove the stencil. The skin under the stencil is lighter and appears like a tattoo. While it might look cool, it is extremely damaging for your skin and can result in some serious health conditions.
Bratz Doll Make-up Challenge
Another fad that fiercely hit people in 2019 was the Bratz Doll Makeup Challenge. Many social media influencers actively participated in this challenge. They used makeup, accessories and even clothing to turn themselves into a human versions of these dolls.
Nose Hair Extensions
This one started as a joke but it slowly became a hit with people. This one involved women gluing fake eyelashes inside their nostrils. Well, it’s as disgusting as it looks, isn’t it?
Ant Trap Nails
Nails have seen it all this year! There are many weird nail arts but this one walks with the cake. For this, a hollow space is created by making a flat bottom and then curved one is placed over it. Live ants are then very carefully put inside that hollow space and the end is sealed.
Potato Beauty Blending
Recently, apart from the sponge everything else was used for blending the make-up. It began when some beauty bloggers used a potato to blend the makeup, they went as far as using tampons, socks and even condoms for blending their make-up. Top beauty YouTubers like Manny Mua and Jeffery Star also experimented with the same.
Face Jewelry
Face jewellery such as stick on face gems and crystals rose to prominence in the 1990s but the same saw a comeback this year. While they look fancy, one can’t use them on a regular basis. Everyone wants larger than life gems but this one is not practical and using glue on your face everyday is not good for the skin as well.
Experimental Eyebrows
Every woman is conscious about the shape of their eyebrows but in the last year we have seen the complete opposite of it. This definitely goes into our list of absurd beauty trends. There have wiggly eyebrows, feather eyebrows, fishtail are some of the trends which should never come back.
