Police in Walewale in the West Mamprusi Municipality have arrested four people suspected to have burgled the house of Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.

According to reports, the suspects embarked on a mass operation at Kperiga, a suburb in Walewale where the family house of the vice president is located over the weekend.

Other houses close where also broken into by the criminals.

At the residence of the vice president, the thieves are said to have made away with television sets, decoders and other items.

Adom News‘ Northern regional correspondent, who followed the story, reported that the suspects were arrested after a manhunt.

The suspects are currently in police custody assisting with investigations.
